Momma Robin And Her Baby

A few weeks ago I was out on my deck and I happen to notice a birds nest on a chair under the table of our patio set! On closer inspection I could see three small blue eggs in the nest. I for the life of me can not understand why the birds nest is on the chair, did the bird actually make it there or did someone place it there. After talking to my husband we decided, although we thought it was a stupid spot, that the bird did indeed pick that spot.

Now I realize this is not Dog Grooming or Cat Grooming related but it is part of nature and not something I have personally been able to witness. So for the past few weeks we have been spying on momma bird and now baby bird. Sometimes we can get pretty close to the nest when she is not there and other times via a go pro camera, and so just sitting on the floor of our dinning room and watching out the patio door. Sadly it appear only 1 of the 3 eggs survived. It is amazing how fast these little birds grow in two weeks we have watch it from an egg to a more active baby bird.

I have videos of the baby sticking its head up looking for momma to feed it, at that point you really only see beak but today I got to watch as it fluffed its wings and moved around a lot more. I know we chase mom away a lot but after all she is the one that built her nest on our back deck where we go in and out of all the time!
